Bhojpuri Cine Awards 2026: Prominent Bhojpuri lyricist Manoj Bhawuk has been awarded Best Lyricist at the Saras Salil Bhojpuri Cine Awards 2026 for his work in the film Dulhaniya Naach Nachawe. The award ceremony was held on March 15 at Bapu Sabhagar, where several well-known figures from the Bhojpuri film industry were present.

The honour was presented by Abhay Sinha, President of the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPA). Bhawuk was recognised for his lyrical contribution to the film, which has been appreciated by audiences and industry professionals alike.
Bhawuk Reflects on Bhojpuri Cinema’s Legacy
Speaking after receiving the award, Bhawuk said that such events should not only celebrate current achievements but also remember those who laid the foundation of Bhojpuri cinema.
According to him, true recognition for any artist comes when their work continues to be appreciated long after they are gone.
He also dedicated the award to music composer Rajnish Mishra, acknowledging that Mishra played a key role in bringing him into Bhojpuri films as a lyricist. Bhawuk also expressed gratitude to the film’s producer Nishant Ujjwal for his support.

Interestingly, Manoj Bhawuk is trained as an engineer and has also worked overseas. After spending several years abroad, including time in London and Africa, he eventually chose to return and dedicate himself to Bhojpuri language and culture.

Currently, Manoj Bhawuk serves as the Programming Head at Mahua Network. Over the years, he has worked with several major television networks and media platforms, including Zee TV, News18, Times Now, and NDTV.
